Summary:

The Infrastructure and Facilities Improvement Program (IFIP) provides financial assistance in the form of multiyear grants that will be used by eligible applicants to service debt that was incurred to pay the costs of certain infrastructure and facilities improvement projects which enhance the economic development of the commonwealth.

Eligible Recipients:

Local Government; Non-Profit Organization

Eligible Recipients Detail:

Authorities that issue debt for Tax Increment Financing; Redevelopment Authorities; Convention center authorities, including municipal authorities formed for the purpose of convention center activities; The Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority

Eligible Purpose:

General Infrastructure; Last Mile Infrastructure; Middle Mile Infrastructure

Eligible Purpose Detail:

To pay debt service for project costs related to infrastructure including telecommunications and cable. Also eligible to be used for other project related costs such as engineering, financial services, accounting and legal services incurred during debt issuance or rendered in completing the project.

Funding Match/Terms:

Maximum annual grant amount for any given project cannot exceed $1,000,000.
