Map Description:

This map shows the estimated number of persons unserved by broadband

Coverage Definition:

Addresses served by hyper-local ISPs, according to FCC data, or served by a large ISP, according to ISP address check availability tools.

Collection Method:

BroadbandNow Research selected nine large ISPs with “check availability” tools, and checked 11,663 addresses, that according to FCC data, had access to broadband. All addresses that failed to return in the "check availability" search were considered unserved, except in the case the FCC listed the address as also served by a hyper-local ISP that BroadbandNow could not verify.
