With support from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the Development District Association of Appalachia (DDAA) is holding four Recovery-to-Work Peer Meetings in September and October at locations across the region. ARC has a collection of programs that work to address the substance use disorder crisis in Appalachia, including the INvestments Supporting Partnerships In Recovery Ecosystems Initiative (INSPIRE), Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC), and the Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization Initiative (POWER).
These meetings will be an opportunity to learn from peers about their work, visit regional projects, and learn about best practices in the field of recovery-to-work ecosystem building. Registrants may only attend one peer meeting and there is a limit of 30 registrants per meeting. There is no fee to attend.
